This is a monolithic dome and is constructed as such...A balloon or air form as builders prefer to call it, is attached to a concrete slab and inflated with a large squirrel cage blower. On the inside is sprayed 3 inches of polyurethane foam for insulation (R-80). then rebar is attached in a 10" grid and gunite (concrete) is sprayed 3" thick. All work is done on the inside of the air form. This allows building to go forward even in inclimate weather. The building is extremely easy to heat and cool, very durable. Will withstand winds in excess of 600 MPH. Will withstand an earthquake and is the safest building known to man. The cost to build these buildings is about 1/2 that of conventional construction.
