Description
UPDATE 11/25: I am taking this auction down because I have found someone that wants to work on my song lyrics with me and produce it into a REAL song! Thanks to everyone for your kind emails and for adding me to your watch lists. In the words of the great band REO Speedwagon: "If you're tired of the same old story, Turn some pages!" THANKS EVERYONE AND GOD BLESS! www.WinMySongLyrics.com Howdy! My name is Lisa and I am 24 years old. I live in New York and I am an aspiring lyricist. For the past, ohhh I'd say 6 years, I've been trying to find a collaborator or a band to work with. I have had zero success in finding someone. Partly because most of the people who responded to my ads on musician sites were a little on the strange side (some guy wanted to help me work on one of my songs while rubbing my feet??!??) and also because I am very shy. Yes, once in a while I would find someone who could play guitar and sing that wanted to meet up somewhere to look over my notebook full of song lyrics, but alas, I was too shy to follow through. After years of writing lyrics and of trying to think up a way of getting just 1 song into the hands of someone who can actually make it into *something* I have decided to use Ebay as my tool.... THE WINNER OF THIS AUCTION GETS THE LYRICS TO THE GREATEST SONG I HAVE EVER WRITTEN! Yes, I have written many songs (I have many notebooks full) but there is 1 song that I have written which I truly believe is the best one of all...and if you win this auction the lyrics are yours to do with as you please. ***************************************************************************************** It takes someone who knows a thing or two about life to write a good song Some may say, "She's 24, what the hell does she know about life??" Let me just take a moment to let you know a little bit about me: I was born in Louisa, KY and grew up in the town of Lovely, KY located in south-eastern KY. When I was 7 years old I discovered basketball and dreamed of being the greatest basketball player ever. My dad worked in the coal mines for 17 years and my mom was a stay at home mommy. When I was 15 my dad, who was 37, was diagnosed with colon cancer which had spread to his liver. He passed away 6 months later in November 1999. After my dad died everything changed. Right before he died he made me promise him I'd leave Martin County, KY cause there's nothing there. He said, "Lisa, the whole world is wide open to you. You can do anything you want, you can be anything you want to be. Promise me one day you'll leave Martin County, there's nothing here for you." In June 2000 my mom and I left Martin County and moved to Parkersburg, WV. From there we moved a lot...we lived in Parkersburg, St. Albans, WV, Paden City, WV, Columbus, OH, Norwalk, CT, and Scranton, PA. I have spent hundreds of hours on Greyhound buses. I went to college at Lackawanna College in Scranton, PA in 2001 and played on the basketball team for a little while. I ended up injuring my knee and had to quit the team, but did finish that 1 year in college. The whole time we lived in Scranton was hell for me, I wish to never drive through that place again because of all the bad memories. My mom became an alcoholic while living there and I experienced some awful sh!t while there. I don't wanna go into too much detail so I'll just leave it at that. My mom has recovered since then though and has been sober for the past 2 years. I don't blame her for any of it, I understand that my dad's death was the big reason behind it all, and I totally forgive her. I moved to Westchester County, NY in late 2002. It's totally different from any other place I lived. I worked a lot of retail jobs and so I had to deal with a lot of pissed off people daily. Pissed cause they couldnt use coupons, or do a return without a receipt, or cause of this or that, so yeah, I got called a redneck hillbilly a lot and often times for no reason. ANYWHO--I've been with my hubby since 2002, we got married in 2006, and our daughter was born in 2007. I've been really busy the past 2 years with being pregnant and taking care of my daughter, so I didn't find much time to network with anyone as far as songwriting went. A few months ago I thought I'd give it one more try and I placed an ad on craigslist looking for a collaborator--but again--nothing. Guess people don't look for lyricists??? WELL--so that's some info on me--Like I said you gotta know a thing or two about life before you can write a good song. I learned a lot about life from being born in a small town, witnessing my dad's fight with cancer and his death, moving all over the place, witnessing my mother's alcoholism, etc. I really truly in my heart and soul do believe that this 1 song I have written could become something great. NOW PLEASE BUY IT AND MAKE IT INTO A #1 HIT!! I'm tired of staring at these notebooks full of songs I wrote....they are just sitting here, doing nothing. I just wanna be able to turn the radio on and hear a song I wrote the lyrics to...I wanna know what it would feel like to have that happen. I just wanna write music that inspires people...music that grabs you by the soul and makes you feel alive. Someone win this auction and make my dream come true! People may ask which genre this song with written for, but the thing is it can be anything...a country song, a hard rock song, a soft rock song, a pop song, a pop-rock song....The lyrics are pretty universal, so they could really be anything (except for rap of course). To give you lil more info about me I'll tell you my favorite bands/singers....ok, here we go.....#1 is definitely DEF LEPPARD, and the next ones are Garth Brooks, REO Speedwagon, Journey, Foreigner, Nickelback, T REX, Robert Palmer, Goo Goo Dolls, Rush, Collective Soul, Live, Duran Duran, Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, and Heart just to name a FEW..... **I will fully release all ownership of the lyrics you win. They will be totally yours to do with as you please. Shipping is FREE. I accept Paypal only. Buyer must pay immediately if using "BUY IT NOW" because I don't wanna get screwed and stuck paying $100+ in ebay fees just because someone felt like playing a joke and hitting "buy it now". If your best offer is accepted, payment is due within 7 days. Thanks for looking and please add me to your "Watch List". THANKS & GOD BLESS!!!!** On Nov-21-08 at 08:24:26 PST, seller added the following information: Featured on The Wease Show Fox 95.1
