Don Lewis is the Head of the Correllian Wiccan Tradition and published author of four books through Llewellyn Worldwide that include:  Correllian Wicca in the First Degree, Second Degree, and Third Degree, and Ritual in Theory and Practice.    The first day of the workshop, Don will take you through the steps of what a ritual should include and then you will be given the opportunity to put what you have learned in practice by conducting a ritual.   You will learn:   How to create an Order of Service How to create sacred space Cast a circle Invoke the Quarters Invoke the Deities   This workshop weekend is being held over Ostara (March 21 -22, 2009).  Ostara is the festival of Spring.  Because Ostara once coincided with the Suns apparent entry into Aries, the Ram is still a symbol associated with the holiday, as is the image of Young God as shepherd. To the Romans this feast was known as Palilia and was especially associated with shepherds and with the shepherd God Pales. Fire jumping was one aspect of the Palilia -as it was among more northerly Europeans as well- which is still associated with the holiday today.  Ostara is the Vernal Equinox, and the themes of perfect balance between light and dark are used.   The price of $100.00 includes lodging for two nights at the Hesychia House of Contemplation in Rossville, IL and all your meals.  Hesychia House has 3500 sq. feet of living space and 4 private bedrooms with Queen Size beds that will accommodate up to 8 people for those willing to share.  The grounds have a large front and backyard with many large trees.  The area is also situated within walking distance of a public park and the downtown area of Rossville.  The house was built in 1890 and has a large dining room, Temple Room, and Library.    The price listed is per person.   Shipping   Not Applicable   Payment Policies Payments for all auctions must be RECEIVED (postmarks do not count) in our office no later than 21 days after auction close.  If there is no communication from the buyer within 7 days, an unpaid item reminder may be filed.
