The Sword of the Spirit banner is one of my original "HeartsRoar Banners" designs. Only 4 of these exact "Sword of the Spirit" banners have ever been made. The first one I made and advertised was acquired by the Christian Heritage Museum (Hagerstown, Maryland). ************************************************** Here are some details about the banner : * The front of this banner is elegant Windsor Satin in a vibrant shade of red. * Each of the large gold letters are outlined with metallic gold sequins for a sparkling, eye-catching effect. * I used special techniques to create the 3 Dimensional look of the Bible and its pages. The open Bible features the text of eight different scriptures in hand done (easy to read style) calligraphy, on ivory satin pages. The pages have "gold-gilded" edges that shine. * The gold hilt and handle of the life-size sword are intricately decorated, as well as bejeweled with fine glass emeralds and crystals. The sword blade is specially made to have a dimensional, sharp, metallic look. * This banner does not have plastic jewels held on only by a glob of glue. The emerald gemstones on this banner are faceted glass, which refracts light much better than plastic/acrylic. There are emeralds on the sword hilt, as well as an emerald at each of the banners five corners. All other gems used on this banner are highest quality Swarovski crystals. Every gem is mounted in a metal jewel setting which has been securely sewn to the banner, assuring permanence for your investment. "Mounted"(set) gems are a very rare feature in the banner market today. * Vining leaves twined with gold strands decorate the top corners, as well as the bottom point. (Jesus said, "I am the Vine, you are the branches." ~ Jn.15:5)  These branching vines represent the living nature of God's word and bring a sense of growth and flourish. ("They shall blossom as the vine," Hosea 14:7)  Vining leaves also accent the hand calligraphied scriptures in the open Bible. * The bottom of the banner features double layer gold fringe. The machine made fringes available in stores do not have the amount of shimmer that I want, so I make my own fringe from a special imported yarn that has more brilliance. This long, lush, hand-made fringe is a HeartRoar Banners exclusive that beautifully matches this banner. * This is a Triple layer banner! Triple layer banners are made of a front panel of fabric and a middle support panel (sometimes called an "inner-liner"), as well as a third panel of fabric which makes the back side. Triple layer banners are lined and inner-lined. The middle support layer makes these banners more substantial, with a sturdier "drape" which causes them to hang flatter. Triple layer is considered a superior form of construction resulting in a thicker, more luxurious, top quality banner. *********************************************** About the photos : The photos were purposefully taken using different lighting. This banner definately has sparkle potential depending on the distance and angle of your lighting. For example, the two photos showing the center image (of the Bible and sword with sequin light rays eminating outward), shows how different lighting conditions affect the surface of a banner. One photo was taken in soft, indirect light to show more artistic details, the other photo was taken in brighter, direct lighting, to show the sparkle effect. This gives you an idea of how this banner can look considering varied lighting intensities and angles; each of which can create a beautiful effect. NOTE : The photo showing the bottom half of the banner, was taken with only natural sunlight filtering through my window. This photo has a slightly yellowish/orange overtone. This was due to the sunset outside my window. NOTE : This banner is NEW, yet I have moved it around in my workshop a few times. It has one very small, very thin smudge/streak approx. one half inch long, which I had never even noticed until recently. This is so minor that you can barely even find it. It blends with the texture of the fabric. You really will not notice it AT ALL....(see photo with one finger pointing) * Also, I found a couple of short, slight "snags" on the very surface of the fabric. These are so undetectable that I had to take many photos til I got a pic that would even show them... this is the picture with my two fingers (which are pointing to the snags).       Each of these few tiny imperfections are so undetectable that I could have foregone mentioning them and I doubt that anyone would have ever noticed them; however, I want to be as accurate as possible in my honest description and photos. You can bid with confidence.
