Carmel  Learning Centre in Kenya, Africa. The dedicated purpose of the Mt Carmel Learning Centre is to ensure that needy  children roaming the dirt  paths  of the slums have a place to get an education.  In Nairobi, as in the US, education is key to helping children break the cycle of poverty; and a  critical component to good jobs in the future.  Teacher salaries at Mt. Carmel are $40.00 a month.  Many families cannot pay the $5.00 a month for school fees, but the dedicated faculty of Mt.
