Ed #2 The Rock and Roll Tarot by Chris Paradis is a highly collectible, RARE Tarot deck. Only a person with a strong knowledge of  the history of rock and roll and the personalities in it could have produced such a deck, and Chris has obviously done the research. The Rock and Roll Tarot is a great collector's deck . Chris Paradis has chosen as the four suits: guitars for air, albums for earth, muse for water and voice for fire. Within each suit, personalities and lyrics are chosen that manifest the energy of each particular card.  The essence of Albums (Ace of earth) is represented by Cher, an earthy woman, singing "put your tiny hand in mine, there ain’t no hill or mountain we can’t climb".  Jimi Hendrix absolutely is the essence of air, "excuse me while I kiss the sky". The major arcana clearly received a lot of thought as well. Frank Zappa is the Magician, Tina Turner the High Priestess, Elvis Presley the Emperor, Madonna is Libido, John Lennon is Death. David Bowie represents the duality of the lovers. A person with more knowledge than me on the specifics of the history of rock and roll in the last fifty years will find even more meaning with the chosen ones. Each card shows an artist or rock & roll band and lyrics from one of their songs are scattered across the image of the card. Rock & Roll Tarot has the full 78 cards, plus the "ALTERNATE" cards that come with the 2nd edition.  There is a "cheat sheet" so you don't guess as to who is who. The deck does not come boxed, or wrapped but is signed by Chris Paradis on two of the opening cards (see scan) and also numbered.  Cards are 2 1/8" x 4 1/8".  2nd edition is smaller than the 1st edition. The edges are a bit rough (came that way new), and the corners are rounded.  The Alternate cards are square which I rather like as it lets me find them quickly in the deck.  The back design is an image of a Wurlitzer-style jukebox, and it features the icons for the suits of Muse, Voice, Guitars and Albums on the front of it. This is the 2nd Edition of the Rock n' Roll Tarot Deck and is # 168/500 of a limited edition.  Many of these decks have been sold as single cards.  It is very hard to find a complete deck!
