Bentley Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. 1986  Immigration records on the federal level were virtually non-existent until 1820 with the exception of the "baggage lists" which were maintained by officials at the port of Philadelphia from 1800-1820.  Hard cover, 913 pages.  This copy is an ex-library copy with library markings.  The cover of the book shows wear, soiling, and fading from age and use.  At some point a label was on the top left hand side of the front cover.  The label is gone - but the spot left behind is tacky.  Between the title page and a blank page - the paper along the binding has torn - but the cloth binding below has not.  The binding of the book is still intact.  The interior is in good condition with minimal markings.  This is a USED book and sold AS IS.
