Checked under a bright light, the discs in this set range from near mint to mint condition.  Most don't even look used!  I'm super picky in my descriptions, after being dissatisfied with many prior eBay used media purchases.  Another eBayer's "near mint" could be my "lightly scratched"!   Level II contains: Story DVD, Parts 1-3  (so near mint, like new) Story DVD, Parts 4-6  (near mint) Vocabulary Builder DVD  (near mint) Story DVD in English  (a few very light scratches) Audio CD  (so near mint, like new) Muzzy at the Disco CD-ROM  (near mint) Level II Scriptbook  (clean, excellent condition) Muzzy Parent's Guide  (never used) Contained in the original wipe-clean storage case.  Front case cover is beginning to split away from the case, at the bottom, up about an inch.  Otherwise, no flaws in the case. Level II Scriptbook & Vocabulary Builder is in excellent used condition.  The pages have been opened to the German section.  Nonetheless, it is flat, there are no bends, tears, writing, edgewear ... and it is clean. Cases, discs and disc cases are clean, clean, clean, inside and out.   This set just hardly looks used!  I took care of it like fine china :-)   Only adult hands touched the discs.The German language is extremely important in academia.  If your kids might be heading toward liberal arts college, or grad school someday, you need to get the sounds into their ears at an early age for greatest success.  Plus, the sentence constructions, like verbs at the end, can be difficult to get used to.  Nothing wrong with a head start :) We LOVE the Muzzy series (we've done several languages), and have simply outgrown the instruction.  It is a good balance between traditional and aural / immersion methods.  It may not be the perfect method, but I've checked out just about everything available, and in my opinion, Muzzy is the best overall method out there for kids up through middle school age.  I studied several languages through graduate school, and thus I'm very, very picky :-)  My kids just absolutely love it, though they are gifted and went through it super fast (which is why it is in such good shape).  My biggest complaint is that Muzzy is dated, and the BBC should come out with a new digitally-mastered version, with new and more modern animations, better special interactive features, etc..   The series remains wildly popular, for every language, and there seems no end to the parents lined up to plunk down their $400 for the course.  I think it is a great start to getting that high AP test score your kids will need to get into a good college, but it is only a start.  If your kids do well with this, you'll eventually need to provide higher level instruction for them.  Keep in mind the AP test includes writing an essay in the language!  I strongly recommend you purchase the workbooks separately, to get the maximum out of this course for the elementary-aged kids.  There are also curricula available, companion learning CD sets (Interactive), and a teacher conversion pack, if you homeschool or teach school. Each level covers 11 or 16 themes, such as numbers, at school, what you wear, transportation, parts of the body, shapes, colors,directions, occupations, animals, foods, etc.. DVDs are NTSC for use in US and North American players.
