Description
Indiana Map Collection: Set of 7 maps (1822, 1824, 1832, 1840, 1843, 1850 and 1877). Reprinted 2001 by Michiana History Publications These inexpensive reprints are best sellers at our genealogy conferences. Lithographed on 80 pound archival stock, and protected by a mylar sleeve, these reproductions makes a great gift for friends and family or can be an unusual door prize at family reunions or genealogy meetings. One local historical society even framed all of our reprints and displays them on their wall. This set of maps provides a good overview of Indiana history for over 50 years of the state’s early life. Set side by side, they show the development of the state from the south along the Ohio river, up through the central portion of the states, the disentegration of Native American lands, the great trails that led early settlers from Ohio to Illinois, railroad development and major roads. This collection is an inexpensive way for historical societies, students, teachers and others to gain knowledge of history and share it with others. Some museums and historical sociieties have purchased the maps for displays rather than risk damage to their original maps. The back of each map contains a listing of all Indiana counties currently organized at the time the original map was printed. All of our maps are digitally printed in full color on 80 pound acid free paper and are authentic historic reproductions of original maps. They are protected by archival mylar or polypropylene sleeves. Each map has been modified (enlarged or reduced in size) to fit our 11" x 14" sleeves, ensuring standard sizes so that our customers can create their own personal atlases using our archival binders. Each map has been carefully selected for its historic importance, color contrast and clarity of detail. These maps have not been downloaded from other websites. We personally own an original copy of every map listed in our inventory. The original copies are not for sale I send materials within 3 to 5 business days, unless I am on vacation or attending a genealogy conference. Due to EBay’s new regulations on maximum shipping and handling charge for books I will be sending out most books as media mail. Please allow for longer arrival times. Media rate shipping costs for heavy or ovesize books will be based upon weight and location of the buyer. I give shipping discounts for multiple item purchases. Indiana residents please add sales tax, including tax on shipping and handling. We appreciate your many years of customer loyalty. If our shipping costs for individual items exceed eBay's allowed maximum rate, I will stop listing those items on eBay.
