At the beginning there weren't computers and software available, so research was done at the county library, National Archives, LDS library and through local genealogy clubs. This was slow and tedious work, but I learned what the source records were, where to find them, and how to use them. Nowadays we have the Internet to provide us with up to date records from all over the world, making access to them fast and easy. The only drawback is the cost that goes with the convenience. Subscriptions are not cheap for the use of the source documents, and to hire a professional genealogist can run into the hundreds or thousands of dollars. I have already absorbed the subscription cost myself, and thus am able to offer my research services at an affordable rate. I am not a professional and don't have the degrees or certificates, but I know what I'm doing, and can quickly research hundreds of documents to find your ancestors. I am offering 5 FULL hours of genealogical research time on one or more lines of your family tree. This research will be done primarily on the Internet, but I have other sources available if needed. I will also email or snail mail (postage extra) copies of source documents that contain your family members. I may also be able to help you obtain actual birth or death certificates from the states and counties. The more initial family information that you provide to me, the quicker I can do the research, and the more research information you will receive. The winner of the auction needs to provide as much of the information, listed below, as possible to me. This can be done via email, or I can call you and discuss everything on the phone. I have unlimited long distance throughout the US. If the winner resides outside the US then email will be the method. 1.
