Description
2008 Texas BarBri Bar Review Materials Like New! I just passed the Texas Bar Exam and am ready to part with the materials that made it possible. The set is in excellent condition and with the exception of the simulated MBE workbook, none of the books have been written in or highlighted. This set would cost you more than $2,000 if you were to pay for the actual BarBri course. The set includes the following: Lecture Handouts -- These are BarBri's ultimate study materials, as they cover the items most likely to be tested on each part of the Bar Exam. I attended every lecture and filled in the blanks on all of these (neat, printed handwriting). These handouts provide a good resource for starting your studying and for doing a last-minute review. Simulated MBE Workbook -- This book contains 200 multiple choice questions and answers that are harder, in general, than the questions you will see on the Bar Exam. This book is best-used about three weeks into your studying as it will allow you to determine how you perform under timed conditions. I did mark in this book, in light pencil, but I will erase everything before I send the book to you. MPT Workbook -- This book contains sample MultiState Performance Test problems (lawyer-like tasks) from past bar exams. Work one of these per week during your studying under timed conditions, and this part of the Bar Exam will become a strength for you. MultiState Testing Practice Questions, Vols. 1 & 2 -- These two books contain an abundance of multiple choice questions like the ones that you will see on Day 2 of the Texas Bar Exam. The questions are broken up by subject area (Contracts, Torts, Property, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law/Procedure, and Evidence). Although I used these books daily, they are unmarked because I did my work on scratch paper. Texas Essays Workbook (the Yellow Book) -- This book contains essays and answers dating back to the 1998 exam. BarBri also handed out the answers to the questions on the February 2008 exam, so I will make sure to include those as well. The questions and answers for the Procedure & Evidence exams are also in this book. You will use this book a lot. In fact, you will probably want to work most of the questions in here. Repetition is the key to the Bar Exam. MultiState Bar Exam Outlines -- This book contains detailed outlines for all of the subjects tested on Day 2 of the Texas Bar Exam. It's big, and it probably contains more information about your first year law courses than you will need to know for the Bar Exam. Texas Essays & Procedure Outlines -- This is another giant book that contains a ton of information. A lot of people don't use this one much, but I referred to it a lot and found it quite helpful. MBE Testing Drills DVD -- This DVD is designed to give you tips on acing Day 2 of the exam, but to be honest, I never made it through even one of the episodes on this disk. This auction includes all of the materials you would receive if you took the BarBri course except for the Conviser Mini Review outlines (I use that book to start my research at my new job). Also, the picture shows a red and blue binder, but the binders are not included. All of the materials in the binders are included, however (I kept the lecture handouts in the binders). Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. On Nov-20-08 at 12:40:37 PST, seller added the following information: (*** NEWLY ADDED ***) Conviser Mini Review -- A great resource. The substance of everything contained in the two big outline books is in this one resource. You will refer to this more than just about anything else. On Nov-20-08 at 12:49:01 PST, seller added the following information:*** Also, I just looked at the MPT workbook and realized that I did underline and write notes on about four of the practice tests. The bulk of the book, however, is still unused. Sorry for not catching that earlier.
